Slumdog Millionaire stole the show at the Oscars. People are calling this movie a Cinderella-like story. It was an underdog movie that almost went straight to DVD in the United States and now it has won eight Oscars. Not only was it a success as a movie but the people in the cast had their own Cinderella story. One of the boys in the film is from the poor neighborhood in Mumbai and because of the movie's success the government is planning to give him a real home. This story of hope that demonstrates everyone that even in a time of an economic crisis there is hope
